A serious case of the February blahs. That's how all of my friends seem to be feeling. The temp can range from +5 to -25 and it's taking a toll on the system. So many of us have been secluded behind doors fighting flus and colds, and those who have avoided the seasonal bugs just haven't had anywhere to go.

It's time to leave the house! We need a plan! We need somewhere to collectively go that will bring everyone together and help the karma flow. We are looking for something to call the Karma Sisters to action. We want to share the love this February. Do you know of someone or something that could use the sisters? Drop us a line and we will put the plan in action. We are looking for one event a month. Check out our event guidelines below. Join me!

What makes a KS event?

Are you looking to invite the sisters to an event? We only have a few guidelines.

Karma Flow: We'd love to invite the karmasisters out to your event and show up with force as long as you include a giving-back component. For example, we love to shop, dress up and treat ourselves to girls' nights out. We will happily spread the word and invite the sisters if you donate a portion of the proceeds to charity, or support a campaign such as the Food Bank, Coats for Kids, etc.

Interesting: It doesn't have to be a women-driven charity; however it has to interest the sister community. We will leave the hunting and gathering charities to the boys. We like to start with what we know.

We are limited to one event per month. Karma Sisters are a unique group who have very busy lives. We aim to add fun, not noise.

We love social evenings: Cooking schools, wine tastings, openings, any and all shenanigans. (I SO want to go to a rollerderby charity.)

We're not planners: We can't help plan events from the ground up or find auction items. Many sisters are involved in other charities and we want events to be a gathering, not work.

Keep your radar up for families in need of help: Recently a neighbour was diagnosed with cancer, and the community showed up to feed the family. Not everyone has a community, and this is our call to action. We can bring the casseroles, put on our rubber gloves and clean, or whatever help is most required.

What's in it for you? We're all about spreading positive energy and good karma. A KS event means an abundance of those and a loud social media shoutout.
